Since launching in 2010 it is safe to say Instagram has taken the world by storm – who doesn’t like a picture?
In a survey commissioned by Facebook, 81% of respondents said that Instagram helps them research products and services and with over 2 million businesses now connecting with people's passions on Instagram, why wouldn’t you have Instagram and regularly put posts up?
Are images important on Instagram?
Instagram is the go-to place for over a billion people to share their photos and stories. So you want your Instagram image to stand out from the crowd which is not always easy, but it's extremely valuable for your brand
Everyone likes a picture, it catches your eye and you want to see more... When placing an image think about the colours and textures, what background colour will help make it pop out.
Consumers find it intriguing to get an insight into a behind-the-scenes look at your business’s services and staff. Using a photo collage on social media allows you to reveal the process as it unfolds to followers, providing them with the feeling that they’re getting great insights just for being part of your social following.
Make your Practice more Personal
Take and post pictures of you and your employees at work or at any company event. Use the captions to share pertinent and interesting information about the employees and what’s happening in the picture. When you attend a special event, start posting, or do anything exciting and photo-worthy, make sure you capture the event. Knowing what’s happening in your world keeps your practice on their mind for your patients.
Are Hashtags important?
Try and use relevant, targeted hashtags on your posts and stories as it can still be one of the best ways to discover new audiences on Instagram which transfers to more followers, more engagement, and more business to your practice.
A post with at least one Instagram hashtag averages 12.6 % than posts without a hashtag. So, if you want to grow your account it is important to add those hashtags!
Whats the best way to use a hashtag?
Say if you are searching for ‘Teeth whitening’, it could be a slim chance anyone sees your post. You may then be better off opting for #TeethwhitningLondon, to help refine the audience that will see it. The right hashtags (and location tag) can expose your image to a large and targeted audience,
By using hashtags it gives you the intent to discover content, the right hashtags can put you in front of your target audience, even if they haven’t connected with you before. Find out what topics your audience is searching for. When you find this try and link it with your services. And create the hashtag that is relevant to your brand.
How often should I post?
Post constantly at least once a week (every other day if possible) and get into a regular flow. The more often you post, the more likes and followers you get.
Profiles that posted seven or more times a week (or at least once a day) get more likes and gain more followers faster than those that post less frequently.
